Azotea Grupo lands in Chiclana

We open new space in Chiclana de la Frontera, Cadiz: EL CUARTEL DEL MAR

We’re not ‘chiclaneros’, and there’s nothing we can do to change it. And it is not that we renege on our origin, but it is that we feel irretrievable, deep and fortunately attached to these lands. Madridbys by birth and chewing gumlaneros by choice, we face this project with the intention of giving back to this little piece of Andalusia some of how much it has given us and continues to offer us.

The project of El Cuartel del Mar rehabilitates the old Civil Guard Barracks of the Loma del Porerco, in Chiclana de la Frontera, to adapt it to its new uses of restaurant, strategic point of bird watching, and space to develop cultural and leisure activities. The building crowns the uphill rise from the beach of La Barrosa opening up the landscape with a very respectful intervention, with natural materials, which values the unique characteristics of the environment.

To Chiclana we return to remember, we return to celebrate and for a while we return with the intention of STAYING. Because we want to shorten the distance that separates us from this land and its peoples and further strengthen the ties, becoming a few more neighbors (in fact and in law) and aging with eyes full of Atlantic. For us, Chiclana is past, present and above all future.
