29 Mar Joel Jamal, the best barman in Madrid
Joel Jamal, our Azotea Grupo bar manager, won the 66th Regional Cocktail Competition for Bar Chiefs and Young Barman 2019 of the Community of Madrid that convened the Federation of Associations of Spanish Barmans (FABE) and the Barmans Association of the Community of Madrid (ABCM), which took place last Monday, March 25 at Azotea Forus Barceló.
Jamal, born in Bangladesh, in 1990, won the first prize in Classic Cocktails in the Long Drink Heads modality. This award will take you to the national final that you already won in 2015. From there will come the Spanish champion who will attend the international final.
Joel Jamal competed with more than 20 active bartenders from the Community of Madrid, and took the title with a cocktail called “Big boss” based on London Dry Gin, Litchi, Natural lime juice, Yuzu, Passion fruit , Melon liqueur.
In the Nubel bar, he offers a daily proposal of his signature cocktails, to which he adds a menu of classic cocktails that cannot be missed in a space for holding food and drinks such as NuBel: Dry Martini, Long Island Iced Tea and many others.
